mspWellness: Good Mental Health in the Workplace
mspWellness provides employers with tools and resources to create healthy work environments that encourage employee wellness. Kay King from NAMI MN (National Alliance on Mental Illness) will share five things a business can do to create a workplace that values good mental health. Breakfast attendees will learn how to promote good mental health (including dealing with stress), the common symptoms of a mental illness, how attitudes and language impact people with mental illnesses, and accommodations for mental illness.
mspWellness is made possible by the Minnesota Department of Health’s Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP), funding that serves as a powerful catalyst for creating healthier communities. Through SHIP, the Minneapolis Health Department partners with schools, neighborhoods, worksites, and clinics to make sustainable community driven changes that help everyone eat healthy, be active, and live tobacco free.
