Our annual Minnesota Keystone Program Luncheon is almost here! In the last 18 months, businesses have had to pivot how they show up in our region. Through innovation and increased partnerships between the nonprofit and for-profit communities, the Minnesota Keystone Program celebrates companies who have met this challenge by giving back at least two percent of their pre-tax earnings to the nonprofit sector. Join us Thursday, December 9, as we gather to recognize our 2021 honored companies and learn how their innovation is supporting our greater community.
During the election cycle, candidate forums are held across our region to better inform attendees of the issues, values and positions of our local government candidates. Forums are often held in partnership with other organizations and cities. These events are free and open to the public and attract a broad spectrum of citizens throughout our region.
In partnership with the cities of Crystal and New Hope and the Crystal/New Hope Business Council, we host a fun, casual 9-hole golf scramble at the New Hope Village Golf Course. Proceeds from this event benefit nonprofits in the Crystal/New Hope communities.
The Bloomington Future Leaders program connects students from Bloomington high schools with mentors in the local business community. The Bloomington Chamber and Bloomington Public Schools host numerous activities throughout the year for engaged students including Fall and Winter Business Conferences, a Spotlight Speaker series and mock interviews at both Jefferson and Kennedy High Schools. Scholarships are also awarded to graduating seniors at Jefferson and Kennedy High Schools who exemplify the characteristics of a Bloomington Future Leader.
The Celebrate Northeast Parade occurs the third Tuesday evening in June.
