Tabyim Xiong

I am a first-generation Hmong American and is the second oldest of eight siblings. I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2009 and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Studies. I am employed at Hired, a non-profit that provides employment services in the Twin Cities. As a Senior Employment Counselor at Hired, my role is to provide case management and services on career coaching, training, and education to program participants. I have a deep passion for youth development work and have been volunteering 10+ years for Youth Leadership Initiative Program (YLI), a multi-cultural youth program here in the Twin Cities. At my workplace, I am involved in multiple committees and tasks that focus on creating diversity, equity, and inclusion. On my days off, I am with my daughter-dog, Trixie and family, hiking, canoeing, camping, walking, eating, and adventuring into the wilderness.
