Started VS Merchant Services in 2007 after 38 years in IT. Business plan for VS Merchant Services is to give back to my clients by making sure all decisions made in relationship to processing credit cards are made in the best interest of the business & it's ownership as well as reducing the rates/fees so that I make almost nothing so they are able to spend their money on other parts of their business. It is another way to give back to the community. In addition I spend 60 hrs a week volunteering primarily with kids and sports (Hockey, Golf, Swimming, Skiing and Baseball). Volunteer time also includes being a Chamber Ambassador, Chamber Golf Committee, Chamber Future Leaders Program, Chamber Gala Committee, Board Member of the Education Foundation of Bloomington, Executive Board Member of the Bloomington Athletic Association, helping non-profits like Bridging, VEAP, Companies to Classrooms, Tour de Cure & running two different Networking Groups to help other businesses grow.
