2026 InterCity Leadership Visit

Join the St. Paul Area Chamber and Minneapolis Regional Chambers for the 24th Annual InterCity Leadership Visit.
This year we are headed to Kansas City!

Join us for the 2026 InterCity Leadership Visit to Kansas City, a three-day experience for senior leaders focused on what it takes to build a strong, connected metropolitan region and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving economy.

For 24 years, the St. Paul Area Chamber and Minneapolis Regional Chamber have hosted this event, and we look forward to building stronger relationships among Twin Cities leaders, and bringing back new ideas.

Why Kansas City?

Kansas City offers a powerful example of regional collaboration across state lines, sectors, and institutions in competing with other regions throughout the country. During the visit, you will engage directly with civic, business, and academic leaders to explore how the region aligns around transit, downtown vibrancy, major sports and cultural investments, and public policy to drive growth.

From the historic Jazz District at 18th & Vine to emerging entertainment corridors and marquee global events like this year's FIFA World Cup, Kansas City shows how identity, culture, and investment can strengthen a business climate while navigating growth and public safety in real time.

You will leave with practical insights, new relationships, and a clearer perspective on how we can build momentum and position the MSP Region more effectively.

Price and Details:
$3,200 per person includes hotel and meals, ground transportation while we’re together, hospitality hours - everything except airfare, incidentals at the hotel, and any food/beverage not on the agenda. You can select how to pay the trip fee: we can bill you later to pay by check or ACH transfer, or you can pay with a debit/credit card but please note there is a 3.55% service fee if paying with credit card. Full payment for the trip must be confirmed and received one month out, by August 28, to participate in this experience. If you would like to set up a payment plan, please contact us and we are happy to work with you. 

Air Travel:
Everyone is responsible for their own air travel to and from Kansas City; we suggest you book early. We will start our program on Monday afternoon, Sept. 28, at 2 pm, and we will close out on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 2 pm. The closest airport is Kansas City International (MCI). 

Registration:
The information we collect is required for your participation in the InterCity Leadership Visit. We will follow up with more details and a login to create your own profile in our event app. After you register, you will receive a confirmation email. Please watch for additional updates as the event nears.

The goal of this trip is to connect a wide array of leaders from numerous Twin Cities organizations. To that end, we ask that each organization only send one person. Sponsors have the opportunity to send multiple people. If you would like to send multiple people but sponsorship is not feasible, please connect with us.

Cancellations:
Any cancellation received before Aug. 28 will result in a full refund minus a $300 administrative fee. No refunds will be given after Aug. 28. Substitutions are welcome if you cannot attend, and are requested by Aug.28.

Hotel and extra nights:
We will be staying at the historic Crossroads Hotel in Kansas City, MO. We will manage your reservation for Monday and Tuesday nights; if you would like additional nights, please contact the hotel directly and they will honor the group rate.
