Critical Issues Forum: Previewing the 2024 Housing Policy Landscape

Critical Issues Forum: Previewing the 2024 Housing Policy Landscape

The 2023 Legislative Session saw a historic $1 billion in housing investments throughout the state. But what do these investments look like in practice? Where do conversations stand in terms of some of the other major housing policy conversations, like rent control or a statewide constitutional amendment? More importantly, why should the business community engage in these conversations? Join us and our panel of experts to learn more.

Panelists:

Joseph Peris
Director of Real Estate Development, Ryan Companies
Co-Chair, Policy Committee, Twin Cities Housing Alliance

Libby Murphy
Policy Director
Minnesota Housing Partnership

About Critical Issues Forum:

Grounded in the MSP Regional Indicators Dashboard, the Critical Issues Forum series analyzes the biggest competitive challenges impacting economic growth while encouraging action and accountability. Forums often include a presentation, featured speaker or a moderated panel of experts from across the region, state and nation. Investors in this series support the chamber's advocacy priorities in workforce development, transportation and affordable housing and support active dialogues between the thought and civic leaders who engage with this series.
