Member Event: Power Luncheon Stories Behind the Statistics
Dr. Anupama Pasricha is devoted to a question that shapes our region’s economic future:
How do we ensure women, especially women of color, not only access leadership positions but truly thrive in them?
With over 30 years of global teaching and research experience, including 12 years in India, Dr. Pasricha brings a deep understanding of educational practices, cultural perspectives, and human-centered leadership.
As an educator and administrator at St. Catherine University since 2005, Anupama has helped shape programs that prepare women to become ethical and innovative leaders at the intersection of fashion, business, sustainability, and equity.
She champions using business as a force for good, modeling leadership rooted in both strength and empathy.
Research & Impact
For the past five years, Anupama has been deeply engaged with the Minnesota Census of Women in Corporate Leadership, which tracks women’s representation in executive and board positions across Minnesota’s largest publicly traded companies.
The data tells a story that demands our urgent attention:
- Last year, the percentage of women on boards rose by only 0.4%
- The percentage of women executive officers has remained flat for five consecutive years
Early trends in 2025 suggest some shifts, which Anupama will be reporting on this April at TCB Talks: Women in Leadership.
What You’ll Hear
In this conversation, moderated by WCCO’s Amelia Santaniello, Anupama will share her personal leadership journey –
the barriers she overcame, the lessons she learned, and the choices that mattered.
She will then illuminate what five years of Census data reveal about:
- Where we’ve been
- Where we are now
- And, critically, the bold actions required to create systemic and sustainable change
This is not just a diagnosis, it’s an invitation.
Anupama invites you to be a change leader.
