Who should attend?

If you are an entrepreneur with a registered business and have been selling products or services for at least 3 years and you are looking to learn how to access capital to grow your business, this event is for you.

Event Highlights:

Pitch Your Way to Success: Get a chance to pitch your company and compete for a $1,000 grant! An opportunity to get a boost of capital for your business.

Five entrepreneurs will be selected from all registrants to present a 3-minute elevator pitch to a panel of judges (representatives from the resource tables) to earn a chance to win a $1,000 grant. NOTE: You may opt out of being selected to participate in the pitch competition when you register. Those selected will be notified by February 29. See FAQ below for more information.

Vendor Showcase: We will have a mini marketplace, featuring six vendors. Each vendor will have a select amount of FREE product samples. You will also be able to purchase items.

Networking Opportunities: Connect with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and potential collaborators. Networking is a key element in the journey to success.

Resource table appointments:

Attendees will register for time slots to meet with key representatives at these resource tables. Each resource table will have a unique focus. They are as follows:

Center for Economic Inclusion: Grants for business – Where to look for them and how to apply for them.

Groove Capital: Angel Investors – How do you know when you are ready for angel investing, what investors are looking for, and how to pitch.

Huntington Bank: Bank and SBA Finance Prep – Focus on large dollar loans, over $100,000. What you need to apply. How to prepare your business to get a loan.

Metropolitan Economic Development Association (MEDA): Corporate Supplier Diversity Initiatives – what you need to supply a large corporation.

Neighborhood Development Center (NDC): Real Estate Ownership – How to prepare to buy real estate.

US Small Business Administration (SBA), Minnesota District: Government Grants – Where to find grants. How to apply for government grants.

WomenVenture: Business Loans ($500 to $100,000) - What you need to apply. How to prepare for a business loan.

We are allocating funds for each participant, with the time and expertise of the resource table representatives, food & beverages, parking, and vendors. If unable to attend, please update your registration or notify us at opt-outas soon as possible to cancel. This opens a spot for a waitlisted attendee. Thanks for your understanding and quick action!
