DRIVE Board Application

DRIVE – Developing & Retaining Individuals with Vision & Energy – is one of the premiere groups for young professionals in the MSP region. Designed for those under 40, DRIVE informs, engages and connects individuals from all businesses and backgrounds at dozens of events throughout the year. DRIVE has been a Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce program for the last 13 years as part of its investment in the regional workforce.

DRIVE Board Representation – The current DRIVE Advisory Board represents a cross-section of all MSP industries including law, hospitality, finance and the non-profit sector. These individuals are dedicated to the future of the region and guide the DRIVE program content, ensuring that attendees have a valuable experience. Organizations that encourage young professionals to attend DRIVE events recognize, as does the Chamber, that retaining and growing MSP’s burgeoning young workforce is critical.

DRIVE Board Expectations – As a member of the Advisory Board, we ask for your active participation and involvement with meetings and events throughout the year. Each board member must attend the predetermined quarterly board meetings, the monthly roundtable events and participate in at least one sub-committee. Attendance at quarterly social events and leadership luncheons is optional. Sub-committees may decide to meet outside of regularly scheduled board meetings, however involvement and attendance at these meetings is also considered optional.

DRIVE Board Acceptance Process – Involvement on the DRIVE Advisory Board is extended to young professionals who possess the energy and passion for having their voice heard in creating impactful, community-centric programing and events. The process to join the board is selective and intentional. Nominations are considered by the existing board, which will conduct a review and come to a final decision for accepted nominees. There are a limited number of board seats available.
