Critical Issues Forum - Hired, Healthy & Happy: Attracting and Retaining Great Talent

Critical Issues Forum - Hired, Healthy & Happy: Attracting and Retaining Great Talent

Attracting and retaining talent is top of mind for employers of all sizes and industries in today?s tight labor market. Providing access to unique services and creating policies that support their workers leads to less turnover and a greater pool of job candidates. This panel discussion will focus on specific ways that employers are supporting those with caregiving responsibilities including wellness, mental health resources, childcare, and paid family and medical leave (including the proposed statewide paid family medical leave proposal), as well as tools in the market to help with implementation of best practices.

  • Matthew Kramer, CEO, The Wildflower Foundation
  • Evan Rowe, Deputy Commissioner, Workforce Services and Operations, DEED
  • Cassie Nelson, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, McGough

About Critical Issues Forum:

Grounded in the MSP Regional Indicators Dashboard, the Critical Issues Forum series analyzes the biggest competitive challenges impacting economic growth while encouraging action and accountability. Forums often include a presentation, featured speaker or a moderated panel of experts from across the region, state and nation. Investors in this series support the chamber's advocacy priorities in workforce development, transportation and affordable housing and support active dialogues between the thought and civic leaders who engage with this series.
